What is School Site Council (SSC)?

School Site Council is a major part of the overall decision-making structure at Bayside Martin Luther King Jr. Academy, and a great way to become active in your child's educational career. It is a very special group of people who are elected by their peers to represent the members of the school community.

The primary role of the SSC is to guide the student achievement process by creating an important document that ensures the needs of all students are specifically addressed. The document is called the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). SSC is held every month and is open to the school community.
